Parent Twitter Chat to focus on Middle School Transition
The February 3, 2014 Francis Howell Middle School Parent Twitter Chat “The Transition from Elementary to Middle School” will focus on assisting 5th grade parents with the important transition from 5th to 6th grade. Fifth grade (as well as other) parents are invited to participate in the chat. Our chat discussion participants will include: parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators. This chat is a great way to learn more about middle school and to begin that transition process. We want to provide insight into the “next steps” for our 5th parents and your children. We will focus on five to six key prompts (or questions) to generate discussion that evening. The great thing about these chats is you can participate from your home, the library, while you are out, or even when you at a friend’s house.
There are multiple social media tools to help you participate in the Twitter Chat. Contact Dr. Ted Huff at Francis Howell Middle (636-851-4800) if you have questions about the upcoming Twitter Chat. You can also reach him via email: Ted.Huff@fhsdschools.org His Twitter accounts are: @TedHiff (not a typo) or @News4FHMS.Dr. Huff will host a Parent Twitter Training Session on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 7:00pm in the library at Francis Howell Middle School to help parents learn more about Twitter, set up Twitter Accounts, and learn more about different Social Media tools.
